Schedule backups

  1. Open the plan › Schedules tab › Add schedule

    Or add schedules in step 5 of the plan wizard.

  2. Name it - e.g. nightly or monthly full

  3. Choose when

    • Hourly - every N hours at a minute past the hour.

    • Daily - at one or more times.

    • Weekly - on chosen days at a time.

    • Monthly - on a day of the month at a time.

    • Cron - any cron expression, for everything else.

  4. Pick the Time zone

    An IANA zone such as Europe/Berlin. The schedule follows its daylight-saving changes.

  5. Optional extras

    • Only start runs inside a window - e.g. weekdays 22:00-05:00.

    • Random start delay - up to 3600 s, so plans sharing a server or storage do not all start at once.

    • Write a different output for this schedule’s runs - e.g. a monthly 7z.

  6. Save

Choice What happens at the next start
Run once now One catch-up run starts, however many were missed.
Wait for the next Nothing now; the next scheduled time runs as usual.
Skipped Missed runs are recorded as skipped.

Backups › Schedules shows The next seven days for everything in your scope, then every schedule with its plan, timing in words, window, missed-run rule, delay, next run and last run. Enable, disable or edit schedules in place.
