RavenDB backups, natively.

A Smuggler export of each database, streamed from the server's REST API; secured servers authenticate with a client certificate held only in tmpfs.

What Xtic runs

POST /databases/{db}/smuggler/export

Shown with placeholders. Credentials never appear on a command line: they reach the tool through the environment, a file descriptor or a short-lived file in memory.

  • Smuggler import into a new database

Verification

Exit status and stream on every run. Every artifact is also hashed, and the stored copy is read back and compared before the run counts as verified.

Same or newer 7.x.

  • Server-side periodic backup tasks are covered by a recipe
  • Licence and editions: Some backup types need a commercial licence.
